Job Summary

Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting for a skilled Quality Technician to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. This role will work within the Quality department and will liaise with the wider team working together to support daily production operations. In joining our team you will have the opportunity to develop your skill-set allowing you the opportunity to get involved in stimulating and exciting projects.

Responsibilities

* Support internal quality issues by methodologically investigating the manufacturing process, through application of investigation & improvement methods such as 4M’s and 5 why’s.

* Assist with supplier & customer non-conformance management to determine root cause and implement corrective / preventative actions, assisting in production of 8D reports

* Support in the management of the calibration system, including calibration of inspection equipment

* Assisting in customer interaction through meetings, presentations, phone calls, emails

* Provide clear and professional internal communication of issues through the generation of reports, emails, chair meetings, briefings, and presentations

* Perform technical inspections against customer drawing for new / prototype parts through our NPI system; Producing documentation (ISIR / F&F / PPAP) for new / prototype parts

* Design and develop process controls such as pins / jigs / template / check sheets / SOP’s / working instructions

* Contribute to continuous improvement activities.

* Assist in maintaining Quality Management System to accreditation ISO45001 by performing internal audits and process improvements.

Requirements

* Certification in Quality Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001) is advantageous

* Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, particularly in quality assurance or quality control

* Experience with root cause analysis methods like 4M's, 5 Why's, and 8D reports.

* Familiarity with non-conformance management for both suppliers and customers.

Shift Times:

Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm

Salary:

£28,000 - 30,000
