Job Title: Factory Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily production activities in a bespoke coating solutions environment. The role involves managing teams of workers to ensure that targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and efficiency goals are consistently met. The supervisor will also collaborate with management to improve processes and resolve any operational issues.

Shop Floor Management:

·Organize jobs into correct areas for production and oversee daily production schedules to meet output targets.

·Monitor and ensure correct procedures/processes are followed.

·Track production and report to management team on productivity, quality, and efficiency.

·Identify and troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime, reporting any training or maintenance requirements.

Quality Control:

·Collaborate with the quality control team and address any defects or non-conformance issues, ensuring non-conformance reports are completed.

·Implement corrective actions to improve production quality and reduce errors.

Process Improvement:

·Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase productivity.

·Collaborate with other departments to optimise workflow and reduce operational costs.

·Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.

Resource Management:

·Manage inventory of stock, tools, and equipment to ensure smooth production flow.

·Coordinate with the management team for timely replenishment and equipment servicing.

·Liaise with management to manage labour hours to control costs and meet budget requirements.

Skills:

·Strong leadership and team management skills.

·Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

·Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

·Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge:

·In-depth knowledge of processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

·Familiarity with process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Knowledge of powder coating, industrial wet painting and shot blasting is a plus.
