A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Sunderland. GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher who can inspire and engage students to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities as a English Teacher:

Deliver high-quality English lessons to secondary students.
Plan, prepare, and assess work according to the curriculum.
Support students with varying abilities, ensuring their learning needs are met.
Maintain discipline and encourage positive behaviour in the classroom.
Foster a love for literature, language, and learning in students.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment.
To be a successful English Teacher, you need:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience teaching English across various key stages.
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
A proactive and positive approach to teaching and learning.
Ability to engage students and adapt teaching to meet their needs.

Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
