We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to play a key role in the design, delivery, and implementation of technology solutions for a major infrastructure program. This role is critical to ensuring that technology solutions meet business needs while aligning with technical standards, policies, and regulations.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, define solutions, manage technical projects, and ensure solutions are delivered effectively. Additionally, this role will focus on identifying innovative technologies that improve services and drive cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to identify and deploy suitable technical solutions.
Review technological changes from providers (e.g., Microsoft) and recommend alternatives as needed.
Provide technical input during vendor solution showcases.
Produce documentation to support ongoing security and maintenance of the IT landscape.
Technical Project Management:
Lead technical projects such as migrations from on-premise to cloud environments.
Coordinate interrelated tasks to ensure smooth project execution, including complex technical initiatives.
Technical Assurance:
Ensure compliance with technical regulations, policies, and best practices during change initiatives.
Guide external vendors on aligning with technical standards.
Innovation and Cost Efficiency:
Stay informed on technological advancements, recommending new technologies and optimizing existing systems for cost savings.
Ad Hoc Technical Advice:
Provide expert advice to internal teams and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Solution Architect with expertise in enterprise architecture, applications, networks, and security.
Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure. Experience with Google Cloud or AWS is also welcome.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Synapse, and Fabric technologies.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Certifications in Azure or Microsoft 365 are a plus.
