Quality Inspector – Company Overview
Our client is a leading Precision Engineering company who are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to ensure their products meet the highest possible standards.
As Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role in inspecting Raw Materials, Goods In, and Manufactured Components, ensuring they align with customer specifications and quality standards.
Quality Inspector – Roles & Responsibilities
* Complete goods' inward inspection of all supplier materials, completing CARs when required.
* Inspect finished goods to verify they meet the final quality requirements.
* Process and report rejected parts, Raise Non-Conformance Records, and track resolutions.
* Receive and inspect customer-returned products, documenting and addressing any issues discovered.
* Overseeing the Machine room, Polishing operations, Assemble, Printing and Stores areas, implementing corrective action and improvement techniques.
* Liaise with suppliers to complete Corrective Action Reports.
* Monitor manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for product and process improvements.
* Oversee first-off inspections to confirm that machined parts meet engineering drawings and specifications.
* Prepare and maintain quality documentation for inspections and SOPs.
Quality Inspector – Skills & Experience
* Proven background in a Quality Inspection or similar position.
* Previous experience in a machining position, particularly in the production of metal components.
* Strong understanding of technical drawings, engineering blueprints, and GD&T.
* Experience with measuring equipment such as micrometres, callipers, gauges, and CMM machines.
* Solid knowledge and experience with Quality Standards – ISO9001.
* Able to work pro-actively, off own initiative.
* Thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment, with varied responsibilities.
