The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our Humanities department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about RE, committed to developing students' understanding of different world religions, and able to create an engaging and inclusive curriculum. You will inspire a love of learning and encourage students to think critically about moral, philosophical, and ethical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality RE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 in line with the National Curriculum.
Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
Plan, prepare, and assess work to promote high standards of academic achievement.
Contribute to the development of departmental schemes of work and assessment practices.
Support students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development through creative and innovative teaching.
Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives.
Engage with parents and carers to provide feedback on student progress and development.
Be an active member of the school community, participating in extracurricular activities and school events.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards this.
A degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
Experience teaching RE to a high standard at secondary level.
Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Religious Studies.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to engage students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Organised, reflective, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
