JOB TITLE (#25083): Registered Nurse / Med/Surg - East Point, GA
Minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical/surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Med/Surg Registered Nurse to fill an opening with an Outpatient Clinic located in East Point, Georgia
Schedule of the Registered Nurse:
This is a Full-time position
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse:
A medical-surgical Nurse is a professional nurse who provides a holistic approach to patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions.
Assessment and care of patients with a wide range of physical and psychological diagnoses and with a wide range of treatment modalities
Care of patients requiring special precautions such as isolation
Inserting and maintenance of peripheral lines
Maintaining central lines for administration of intravenous fluid
Providing emergency care as indicated
Administration of medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenously) and blood products
Verification of physician orders
Complete and accurate documentation of care according to facility/unit policies
Phlebotomy and bedside testing
Psychological support of patients as indicated
Complex wound dressing care and maintenance
May be required to work with COVID-19-positive patients and Patients Under Investigation (PUI), for COVID 19
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3 years current experience in an acute care, medical/surgical unit in an urban, academic Medical Center setting exclusive of agency assignments and must have worked within the last 6 months in the above settings
Must be a graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or in a related field or a master’s degree in Nursing or in a related field is highly preferred.
Must have an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state (United States).
