Impec Group is seeking a Space Planner at our client site in San Mateo, CA. Reporting to the Director, Facilities, the Space Planner will provide overall support of project management, workplace space planning, and facility work. You will work side-by-side on occupancy, workplace design and MAC (Moves, Adds, and Changes) professionals. You will be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
Pay Range $110K - $125K annual
Position Space Planner
Schedule 40hrs/week, On-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the facility team and organization on multiple facility design and construction projects, supporting program management, facilitation, work prioritization, planning, and task delegation.
Analyze current space utilization and allocations, providing recommendations for optimal space use.
Update and maintain the space database while identifying opportunities for future space needs.
Perform strategic occupancy planning, scenario planning, program strategy, and space planning.
Translate business requirements into occupancy planning and space utilization plans.
Demonstrate strong analytical and qualitative skills.
Manage Moves, Adds, and Changes (MAC) processes.
Oversee the implementation of furniture according to company standards.
Maintain and track furniture inventory.
Manage the Facility Management System.
Review AutoCAD drawing files and field redline drawings for completeness.
Polyline and label room numbers as needed.
Ensure all documents comply with standards and layering formats.
Load drawings into CAFM/IWMS systems.
Populate CAFM with space categories, space types, standards, room numbers, names, and business organizations.
Establish and maintain a library of master drawings accessible to clients.
Audit space and ensure all CAD drawings are up to date.
Create and maintain an operational book for Facilities Space Management Software.
Utilize Zip/IronClad for managing MSAs and POs.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in Facilities and Space Planning
Able to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision
Passionate about building strong customer relationships and providing excellent service
Friendly, energetic, and enjoy interacting with others
Tech-savvy and comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment
Resourceful, calm under pressure, and skilled at finding effective solutions
A strong communicator and self-motivated
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent multitasking abilities
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
