This is a unique chance to make a profound impact on the lives of young people with special educational needs, working in a nurturing and inclusive environment. The role is set to start as soon as possible, with the school looking for a passionate individual to bring expertise and enthusiasm to their already dedicated team.

About the Role: As a SCERTS Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored educational programmes using the SCERTS model, supporting the development of students with a range of special needs, including autism. You will play a key role in implementing structured interventions aimed at enhancing social communication and emotional regulation, while supporting student engagement in everyday activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess lessons using the SCERTS framework.
Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other professionals.
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that meets the needs of all students.
Work closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff to ensure consistent support for students.
Engage with parents and carers, offering guidance and updates on student progress.
Monitor and report on the progress of each student, adapting teaching methods where necessary to ensure continued development.Requirements:

Proven experience working as a SCERTS Teacher in an SEND setting.
In-depth knowledge of the SCERTS model and its application in education.
A passionate, empathetic approach to teaching with a genuine desire to support young people with SEND.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues.
