Overview:
The purpose of the Maintenance Technician II position is to evaluate the daily needs of the maintenance system and then to prioritize and apply the right assets to the task.
Responsibilities:
Performs mechanical tasks and maintenance on production equipment.
Performs daily troubleshooting functions and repairs.
Operates machines if needed.
Changes over equipment to meet production requirements.
Performs production equipment/process troubleshooting and repair.
Demonstrates basic understanding of electronic and pneumatic circuitry.
Disseminates IFS information
Applies the right person/asset to the task.
Leads maintenance projects as assigned.
Assists in the planning of maintenance projects.
Takes a lead role in machine installations and refurbs.
Leverages experience to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
Other duties may be assigned.

· Decision Making: Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.

Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in an entry level 1 maintenance technician role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to operate, activate, use, inspect, place, detect, and retrieve. Employee will also often be required to move or traverse to, ascend/descend, work atop, communicate, and convey. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and distance vision.
