Overview:
Reports To: Property Management Officer
Primary Functions: Inspecting properties and to monitor escrow agreements, renovations, and FHA Title I loans
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform interior and exterior inspections on properties as assigned by the automated system and/or by management
Determine occupancy status of property and coordinate with investor and contractor to secure and winterize if vacant.
Act promptly to minimize loss potential, file claims for insured losses.
Complete hazard insurance loss control function for real estate and mortgage loans.
Responsible for processing, inspecting, disbursing and monitoring of FHA 203K loans, renovations and escrow holdbacks.
Prepare properties and coordinate transfer to brokers as instructed.
Coordinate utility connections as necessary.
Interact with Special Credits, assist in collection activities, and area inspectors
Complete the appropriate property inspection forms and ensure compliance with investors, guarantors and mortgage insurance companies.
Notify Insurance Services promptly to ensure adequate hazard insurance coverage.
Thoroughly document activity.
Post evictions, assignments of rents and appear in court as necessary.
Monitor FHA Title One, complete final inspections and documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Not Applicable
Experience/Skills: Two years experience as a property manager or property management division of a lending institution or in a building maintenance position. Six months direct experience coordinating, securing and winterizing real properties preferred. Working knowledge of heating systems, plumbing systems and adequate winterization methods. Knowledge of investor requirements. This position requires a valid driver's license, acceptable and insurable driving record, pre-employment and random drug testing. Sound navigational skills preferred
Tenure: Property Management Specialist II, category 13, requires one year tenure in Property Management Specialist I position with performance that meets or exceeds expectations. Directly related work experience and/or accelerated training may be substituted for tenure.
Compensation:
Salary Pay Range:
Property Management Specialist I (Category 14): $41,484 - $60,567 annually
Property Management Specialist II (Category 13): $44,803 - $66,309 annually
Property Management Specialist III (Category 12): $48,387 - $73,549 annually
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
