The role of the Ambassador is to be an action and solution driven person, who carries a positive and engaging attitude to provide exceptional guest service. A fitting candidate will have prior experience in a customer facing position.

Hospital Ambassador
Overview
The role of the Hospital Ambassador is to receive general direction from the Parking Manager and provide accurate and timely information and services to staff, patients, visitors and callers in a polite, professional, and friendly manner in accordance with safety and customer service standards. The Ambassador will also screen all staff, patients, visitors and vendors to aid in the continued safety of the hospital.
Responsibilities
Actively greets patients, family/visitors, and staff in a polite, professional, friendly and welcoming manner.
Communicate and enforce entrance policies, screen staff, patients and visitors as indicated by the hospital procedure and provide information and direction as appropriate.
Assists with patient and family/visitor inquiries and requests by actively listening and clearly responding. This includes, but is not limited to, providing information regarding hospital services and office locations, as well as clear and understandable directions.
Provides accurate, service-oriented responses to a wide variety of inquiries while protecting patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA policies and guidelines.
Ensures lobby space is neat and free of obstructions that could become a safety issues.
Assist with wiping down wheelchairs and other patient facing surfaces as needed.
May assist patients with help opening wheelchairs and may assist with escorting/transporting patients in wheelchairs throughout the building.
Works in collaboration with other departments to ensure patients, family/visitors, and staff receive accurate, timely and service-oriented assistance.
Adheres to VPNE policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance and punctuality, punching in, reviewing schedule, and dress code.
Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the Hospital Ambassador role.
Respects and maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
Years of Experience: Entry Level
Language Skills: Proficient in English both verbally and written
Requirements:
Must be 18 or older to apply
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Ability to effectively communicate, read, and write in English
Ability to sit for extended periods and the ability to walk short distances
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time
Abiltity to push wheel chairs
Ability to count money and make change if necessary
Be able and willing to smile during every customer interaction
Maintain uniform standards
Maintain a professional and polite manner
Adheres to VPNE’s attendance policy
