Job Title: Technical Manager

Location: London

Salary: c£65K with 10% Bonus plus benefits

Shift: Monday to Friday flexible.

Overview: After a slight restructure we are seeking an experienced, hands-on, factory based Technical Manager to drive standards during the days. They’re in a strong position growing year on year, constantly attracting new customers and recently been in the news due to their success!

This role will require a strong understanding of food safety standards plus the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Experience Required:

* Strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively

* Previous technical or quality management experience gained within a food manufacturing environment, ideally in a chilled environment.

* You will need to have to have worked on retailer led sites.

* Ideally, you’ll have a BSc in Food science or equivalent.

* Leading BRCGS, all third-party audits and customer audits.

* Operating within the guidelines of BRCGS and customer standards

* HACCP level 3 or above (TACCP / VACCP) and ensure that all operations comply with food safety regulations

* Lead auditor qualification is preferred.

* Able to evidence solid planning, organisational and communication skills and a positive outlook.

Responsibilities:

* As the Technical Manager, ensure that all food safety standards are followed and deliver training on this where necessary.

* Monitor and report back on Quality Managers / QA’s KPIS ensuring they’re in line with company’s expectations.

* Implement HACCP programmes.

* Manage customer complaints and ensure they’re being reduced.

* Lead, train, and mentor a team, ensuring all staff are skilled in the latest techniques and safety protocols.

* Reporting directly into the Head of Technical.
