Job Title: Class 2 Driver
Location: Thame
Salary: £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week (7:30am - 5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break)
Overtime: Contracted overtime on Saturday mornings (7am - 1pm, once per month)
The Role:
We are recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 2 C&D Day Driver to join our client's transport team. This role involves regular driving on local palletised ‘Collect & Deliver’ routes, typically in the same vehicle and on the same route(s), but with the flexibility to adapt to business needs. You’ll be provided with a suitable vehicle and electric pallet truck, and there is potential to support the National Distribution and Roadshow departments, if desired. The role also includes some physical work when making deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Driving on local palletised ‘Collect & Deliver’ routes, ensuring timely deliveries.
* Following all Pallet Network specific processes.
* Adhering to Health & Safety regulations and supporting the Transport Manager and Shift Supervisors.
* Maintaining your CPC training (paid for by the company).
* Providing excellent customer service during face-to-face interactions.
* Addressing any delivery issues through appropriate channels.
* Supporting ad-hoc distribution or Roadshow activities when required.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Ability to manage your own delivery route and work independently.
* Flexibility to drive vehicles ranging from 3.5t to 18t.
* Strong team player with excellent customer service skills.
* Previous experience driving a Class 2 vehicle (at least 12 months preferred).
* CPC Cat C qualification is required
