Castle Employment Group is proud to be working on behalf of an established business based in Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire, seeking a skilled Finance Assistant. This is a permanent, full-time, office-based role with a highly competitive salary of up to £35,000 and opportunities for career growth.

As a Finance Assistant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and the wider finance team. Your core responsibilities will include:

Maintaining sales system price files and completing detailed margin analysis.
Posting supplier invoices and payments onto Sage 200.
Allocating customer receipts and posting them accurately.
Producing monthly aged debt reports with commentary and chasing overdue ledgers.
Calculating monthly fees and rebate accruals.
Populating monthly MI reports for large contract customers.
Managing sales ledger reconciliations and performing bank reconciliations.
Collaborating on the invoicing process for new contracts and other ad-hoc finance tasks.The successful Finance Assistant should have strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Solid analytical and numerical skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience with Sage 200 (desirable but not essential).
AAT qualification and/or relevant experience.Previous experience in a similar role is essential. You may currently hold or have held positions such as Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Credit Controller, Sales Ledger Clerk or Purchase Ledger Clerk.

This position is based in Boroughbridge and is commutable from several locations, including Harrogate, York Knaresborough, Ripon, Wetherby or Thirsk.
