Role Overview:
Project Delivery : Oversee the successful execution of civil infrastructure projects, including those in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Projects typically involve drainage, SUDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems), highways, and earthworks.
Planning Involvement: Participate in planning stages by conducting flood risk assessments, creating drainage strategies, and preparing utility statements.
End-to-End Project Management : Handle projects from concept to completion, offering technical consultation and ensuring quality in design.
Financial Management: Maintain responsibility for the financial aspects of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget .
Team Leadership :
Lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing guidance and support.
Contribute to the department's growth and overall strategic direction.
Business Growth: Contribute to building and expanding the civil engineering department through collaboration with the team and providing insights for growth strategies.
Financial Oversight : Handle fee proposals , budget negotiation, and overall project management tasks.
Requirements:
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Civils 3D (or equivalent software), AutoCAD, and hydraulic modelling software .
Experience managing and overseeing projects and junior staff.
Having good experience dealing with clients.
Chartership Progress: Ideally, candidates should be working towards becoming Chartered engineers.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a desire to contribute to both the success of projects and the development of the engineering team
