Paying up to £16 per hour

Day shifts: Monday - Friday

PERMANENT ROLE

Our client in Nottingham is looking for a Manual Machinist specialising in manual grinding to join their team on a permanent basis. Our client manufactures products for a variety of industries including aerospace and oil and gas.

Job Description:

This role covers both new products and existing parts from one offs to small batches.
To set and operate Grinder & Lathe machines with information from technical drawings
To work to tight tolerances and check own work ensuring it meets quality and technical standards
To work with minimum supervision and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment and carry out any routine machine maintenance as required.The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Candidate will ideally come from a manual grinding, milling or turning background
Must be able to read and work from technical drawings
A minimum of three years' experience within a machine shop role
Apprentice trained would be advantageous but not essential
Able to quality check own work
Confident working with a variety of metals including mild, stainless steel and aluminium
