Salary: Competitive

Location: Lazonby, Cumbria, CA10 1BG

Contract: Full - Time, Permanent

About Us:

We are an established family bakery with a taste for quality, having created delicious products for over 75 years. Our organisation produces baked goods for retail and food service, specialising in cake and sweet pastry tart products.

We supply all major UK retailers with ambient Free From ranges and a number of leading Coffee Shop Chains with ambient and frozen ranges. We operate two bakeries: A conventional Bakery and a dedicated Gluten, Wheat and Milk Free Bakery avoiding 12 out of the 14 notable allergens.

Business Support Administrator – The Role:

The ideal candidate will possess previous office administration experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency for navigating the systems and processes of growing organisations. We are looking for someone who thrives in deadline-driven environments, exhibits meticulous attention to detail, and demonstrates adaptability in supporting our operational needs.

Business Support Administrator – The Key Responsibilities:

- Act as the company’s “front of house”, delivering excellent customer service

- Carry out general office management duties such as managing supplies, post and phonebooks

- Assist with arranging digital and in-person meetings

- Provide logistical support for leadership team meetings and awaydays, including diary management, paperwork collation, venue bookings and refreshment arrangements

- Prepare for key customer or third party visits, including room preparation and refreshments

- Oversee administrative processes for board and committee papers

- Support HR functions: Recruitment, Annual Leave, Employment Records

- Maintain our HR database with comprehensive employee records, ensuring compliance

- Assist the management team to meet organisational needs as required

Business Support Administrator – Experience:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Friendly, patient, and resilient with a can-do attitude

- Good judgement and approach to tasks and problems, with the ability to work independently

- A team player who promotes diversity, inclusion, and equality of opportunity

- Experience in handling high volumes of tasks and resolving queries with empathy

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

- Comfortable organising meetings and producing supporting paperwork, including agendas and minutes
