Flint are seeking a skilled AWS Architect to join one of the main telco providers in the UK.

As the AWS Architect, you will lead the design, development, and execution of the migration strategy to AWS. You'll work closely with business and technology leaders to ensure that the architecture supports the current and future needs of the organization. Your expert knowledge of AWS and telco infrastructure will be critical to building scalable, secure, and optimized cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Cloud Migration: Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy for transitioning on-premises infrastructure and applications to AWS.
  • Solution Architecture: Design end-to-end AWS architectures tailored for telco environments, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
  • Optimization & Innovation: Continuously evaluate AWS services and solutions to optimize performance, reduce costs, and leverage new technologies.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure the cloud architecture meets telco industry standards for security, compliance, and data governance.
  • Best Practices: Implement and promote AWS best practices, including automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and DevOps principles.

Experience:

  • 10+ years in IT architecture with 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including complex migrations.
  • Telco Expertise: Strong background working in telecommunications, with a deep understanding of telco-specific infrastructure and challenges.
  • AWS Expertise: Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, and others.
  • Cloud Migration: Proven experience leading large-scale migrations to AWS, including rehosting, refactoring, and re-platforming strategies.
  • Leadership: Ability to influence and drive cloud strategy across multiple teams, with experience in guiding cross-functional technical groups.
  • Security & Compliance: Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards such as ISO, GDPR, and telco-specific regulations.
