IT Specialist/IT Manager/Windows/Linux/Security/Infrastructure/Support

Title: IT Specialist

Location: Swindon

Salary: £50k

We are partnered with a renowned company in the manufacturing domain. Our client has a few divisions they work within mainly power, electronics, communications and defence.

They're currently looking to hire an IT Specialist who will work Full time from their Swindon based Office. This role will be working closely with and reporting to the Head of IT with a main focus on infrastructure management, support, strategy, security and compliance, vendor management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of Servers, networks, hardware, and software
  • Establish and enforce SLAs
  • Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, and system upgrades.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures, including Firewalls, antivirus, and data encryption.
  • Vendor management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT management
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux environments, network administration, and Office 365 (Advantageous)
  • Experience with cloud platforms
