Role: Solution Architect
Location: Warwick 2 days per week in the office
Clearance: SC
Rate: £700 - £750 pd inside IR35
Duration: 6 months

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with experience in designing, deploying, and managing complex OT (Operational Technology) environments. This role will involve working on multiple projects, leveraging automation and cloud-based technologies to enhance security, resilience, and operational efficiency across a distributed infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. OT Remote Backups:
• Build and deploy multiple hosts nationwide using Red Hat.
• Utilise automation tools such as Kickstart and Ansible, with Satellite for updates.
• Implement file synchronisation solutions to orchestrate recovery files across multiple locations, enabling centralised processing.
2. OT Data Insights Platform:
• Collect and forward data from substations using protocols like MQTT and OPC.
• Surface insights from the collected data to enhance operational visibility.
3. OT Privileged Access Workstation (PAW) Refresh:
• Deploy a centrally managed Privilege Access Workstation (PAW) using Microsoft tools, such as Azure and Intune.
• Manage virtual machines hosting applications to oversee asset operations.
4. Protection & Control (P&C) Hardened Compute Platform:
• Build and deploy hosts using Red Hat and KVM.
• Leverage Kickstart and Ansible for automation and Satellite for patch management.
• Deploy virtual machines to host critical applications for operational activities.
5. OT Services Network Enhancements:
• Design and implement a Network Management Centre.
• Develop an asset management solution.
• Evaluate and recommend network improvements to bolster security and resilience.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Red Hat, Kickstart, Ansible, and Satellite.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, and managing virtual machines.
• Familiarity with OT protocols such as MQTT and OPC.
• Strong background in network security, asset management, and resilience planning.
