Our Client, a leading building materials distributor, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the operations of their distribution warehouse. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all warehouse functions, including receiving, unloading, inspecting, picking, packing, and shipping products. This role is key in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and improving overall warehouse performance.
Operations Manager Job Responsibilities
Manage and oversee warehouse operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipping, receiving, and material processing.
Collaborate with the branch management team to ensure safety programs, company policies, and procedures are implemented and followed.
Recruit, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
Maintain an organized and accurate inventory system, planning and implementing optimal storage layouts.
Develop a comprehensive succession plan for operations personnel to ensure continuous improvement and growth.
Assist in the development of the annual business plan with branch management.
Monitor productivity data and implement performance improvement strategies.
Adapt to changes and perform other duties as assigned by the branch management team.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and supervising in an industrial distribution environment.
Proven experience leading and developing teams and individuals.
Ability to provide innovative solutions and work collaboratively with the management team.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and performance.
Ability to make strategic decisions to enhance operations.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to changing conditions.
Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform occasional stooping, kneeling, or crawling.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Compensation
Salary: $80-90k annually, depending on experience.
