Description
We're on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join our dynamic team at Carey Group. If you're looking to grow in a supportive, innovative environment and make a real impact, this is your chance!

As a Management Accountant, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Group Accountant and Finance Business Partners (FBP). You'll partner with stakeholders across the Carey Group, delivering accurate and timely financial reports, reconciling balance sheets, assisting with audits, tax compliance, and much more. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver monthly financial/management accounts, ensuring accurate expense recharges to operational entities.

Provide management information, transaction reports, and analytical support for expense ledger activities.

Assist in the year-end audit process, including preparation of statutory accounts and liaising with auditors.

Perform balance sheet reconciliations across the group, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Manage tax compliance (VAT, CT, PAYE & NIC, CIS) and reconciliations, assisting with group-wide tax activities.

Maintain and update the fixed asset registers, ensuring capital expenditure is tracked and authorized.

Perform intercompany reconciliations, support overhead budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to monthly variance analysis.

Liaise with external property and development partners, ensuring reporting requirements are met.

Provide support to the Finance Assistant by covering essential tasks when required, including daily cash postings and bank balance reports.

Assist with finance process improvements, aiming to enhance control and compliance.

Support weekly and monthly financial reporting, analysis, and Office of National Statistics survey completion.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Technical Skills & Experience:

Part-qualified or actively studying towards CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent qualification.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (V Lookups, Pivot Tables).

Experience in management accounting (Engineering, Construction, or Manufacturing industry experience is a plus!).

Strong financial control knowledge and audit experience.

Proven experience in delivering month-end requirements within tight timelines.

Experience with COINS ERP system and IRIS accounts production would be advantageous.
