As an inMusic EDI Specialist, you'll take charge of data collection, implementation, testing, and documentation for EDI projects with both new and existing trading partners. You’ll report directly to the Director of IT while collaborating closely with our Distribution and Sales Administration teams to ensure that we meet and maintain customer compliance requirements effectively.
What our EDI Specialists do:
Interact with internal, external cross-functional teams for requirements gathering, design, and implementation of EDI transactions
Work with an outsourced EDI provider to communicate requirements and develop EDI specifications to create files that integrate with SAP, using a strong understanding of EDI mapping tools
Perform all of the SAP configuration and master data maintenance required to onboard new EDI customers
Evaluate new EDI requirements and work with the SAP development team to implement new functionality
Possesses strong knowledge of the SAP order to cash functions, including warehouse operations
Simulate order to invoice processing to facilitate quality assurance and acceptance testing
Ensures long term maintainability of the system by documenting projects
Provides resolutions to problems by taking the initiative to use all resources available for research
Provides EDI support after regular operating hours as required
Maintain EDI tables, work with 3rd party EDI provider(s) to set up new customers and maintain existing customers
Requirements
Requirements:
High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science preferred
4+ years of EDI service and support experience
Extensive experience with SAP IDoc interfaces
ERP EDI mapping experience, SAP EDI mapping highly preferred
Experienced with SAP Sales and Distribution, Materials Management, and Finance modules
Microsoft Suite, Word, Outlook, Teams
Advanced MS Excel skill and the ability to synthesize large amounts of data
Knowledge of EDI Standards and documents (ex. X12, EDIFACT, and Tradacomms)
Experience with Orders, Invoices, and Advanced Ship Notice messages
Experience supporting SAP ORDER, SHPMNT, and INVOICE IDoc interface and messages.
Experience with SQL, or PLSQL a plus
Knowledge of Unix a plus
Experience with SPS Commerce a plus
Experience with SAP PI middleware a plus
