Production Engineer
Orion Recruitment are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join a well-established, progressive and international manufacturing business, to strengthen their production assembly team and work with the engineering departments across the business.
The business itself provides world class engineering support and products to industry leaders within the aerospace, automotive and medical sectors.
As the Production Engineer your key responsibilities and activities within the business will be:
Experience in assembling complex mechanical assemblies.
Experience in optimising processes and procedures to improve output.
Ideally capable of designing Jigs and fixtures.
High level soldering skills ideally IPC standard.
Experienced in cable assemblies, harnesses and wiring looms ideally to IPC standard.
Experienced at electrical testing and fault finding.
Understanding technical drawings.
Be skilled in Lean practices and implementing them.
Excellent IT skills.
Experience in mentoring/coaching assembly operators and giving training
Working Hours
Monday – Friday, 40-hour week.

Hands on and Engineering mindset
High Levels of attention to detail
Qualifications required for the Production Engineer position:
Minimum requirements NVQ / City and Guilds Level 3 / Full apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline
