We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary SEN Teacher to join our team immediately. If you are enthusiastic about making a real difference in the lives of children with diverse learning needs, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of students with a range of special educational needs.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
Use a variety of strategies to manage behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and structured classroom.
Regularly assess and track pupils' progress, tailoring support to individual needs.
Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies to support pupil wellbeing and learning.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting.
A deep understanding of various SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
SEN-specific qualifications or training.
Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other communication aids.
Knowledge of current SEN legislation and the SEND Code of Practice.
