Fire Safety Manager required for a Midlands based organisation who operate in the rail / transport sector
Client Details
Fire Safety Manager required for a Midlands based transportation / rail company to oversee a property portfolio consisting of office premises, stations & depots.
Description
Work with key internal stakeholders such as Occupational Safety, Property, Fleet, Environmental
Develop and implement a Fire Safety Strategy
Support internal and third-party projects
Engage with Property Project Managers, Health, Safety & Compliance Manager and Project Managers.
Plan and conduct fire risk assessment surveys and prepare reports on findings.
Liaise with and oversee the completion of corrective actions and findings from fire risk assessment reports,
Provide in-house Fire Prevention Manager (Fire Marshall) training to employees
Provide expert advice and support to develop arrangements relating to the management of emergencies from fires.
Other reasonable duties as specified by the Head of Occupational SafetyProfile
Experience in a similar role - ideally within the rail / transport system
Membership of an appropriate Fire safety Engineering Institution (preferred)
BSc or BEng in Fire Safety management
Excellent knowledge of UK relevant Fire Safety Legislation and British Standards.
Experience of working in a highly regulated environment
Effective communicator at all levels of the organisation; stakeholder management
Excellent analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to project manage tasks from inception to completion Job Offer
Up to £65,000 salary
