Job Description:
Spectrum Healthcare Resources is seeking a full-time, Supply Technician for the Dumfries Ambulatory Care Clinic in Dumfries, VA.
Essential Functions:
Prepares requisitions for supplies and equipment to keep adequate stock on hand.
Interacts with vendors, requests quotes and negotiates pricing.
Orders or requisitions special items as requested.
Orders certain standard items directly from approved vendors.
Receives and inspects supplies and equipment; Marks discrepancies on invoices and escalate discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Checks items against invoices or freight bills for proper quantity.
Checks items for damage and notifies purchasing department, vendor or Transportation Company of unacceptable items.
Accepts delivery on items; Maintains inventory records showing items received, issued, and standard stock levels.
Stores items received on shelves, in bins, or in other storage areas ensuring items with upcoming expiration dates will be used first.
Distributes office and medical supplies based on department need.
Fills requests for supplies and equipment using PAR stock approach.
Track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Organize purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for accounting transmittals.
Maintains MSS for the nursing department.
Establishes reorder points for a variety of items.
Arranges for office equipment repairs. May make minor repairs to items carried in stock.
Contacts vendors by phone/email for service or preventative maintenance.
Attend scheduled meetings in person or via Teams with Admin, Deputy and ACOR to provide updates on equipment.
Assist with other duties as needed and assigned.

Job Qualifications:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
One year related experience. Ability to operate a large supply room containing a variety of medical and other supplies and equipment desired.
Working knowledge of common medical supplies and equipment and their proper methods of storage.
Working knowledge of the methods and procedures involved in the receipt, storage, and issuance of supplies and equipment.
Working knowledge of methods and procedures involved in the maintenance of accurate inventory records.
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Mail.
Shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with patients and other staff members.
Have knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry, and automated records.
Physical and Environmental Demands:
Regular attendance required
Occasional standing and bending
Considerable walking
Lifting and carrying medical equipment/files; maximum of 25 lbs.
