Overview:

Registered Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant - Part Time

Summary: The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)/Orthodontic Assistant. This position supports orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. This is a part time position to work Wednesday. 

Pay Range: $23.89-$32.00/hr (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

Assists the doctor in procedures

Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays 

Prophy teeth 

Instructs patients on oral hygiene 

Chart and treatment plan with doctor 

Sterilizes instruments 

Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment 

Take IO's 

Charting  

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:  

Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred 

BIlingual in Spanish, preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  

California Registered Dental Assistant or Orthodontic Assistant License 

X-Ray Certification 

Coronal Polish Certification  

Current BLS certification

Sealant Certification, preferred
