Overview:

The Biomedical Technician position is a technical position supporting the installation, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, and electrical safety testing of medical equipment. This position requires specific training in medical equipment service. Team member will be expected to participate in the on-call rotation once required competency is achieved.  The person in this role will be expected to provide support to the biomedical equipment users at all UF Health Central Florida facilities. A valid Florida Driver's license and the ability to drive between campuses in order to support the clinical equipment located throughout the facilities is required.

Qualifications:

Required

Associate's degree, AS or AA in Biomedical Engineering or certificate of training from the military's Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Program Licensure/Certification/Registration

Valid Driver's License - This position is required to drive a company vehicle and must meet the requirements of UF Health Central Florida Vehicle Policy Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: -

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
