Overview:
Moody Center is offering a paid internship program for the Spring Semester. We are looking for individuals who want professional level experience and have the initiative, skills and drive to excel. This program will give individuals an opportunity to work alongside professionals in the live entertainment, sports, and venue management industry. This internship will provide experience with the Building Engineering Team. Interns will gain working knowledge of the Engineering Department.
Internship Details:
Pay: $13.00/hour
Not to exceed 20 hours per week
Internship Dates: 2025 Spring Semester (January – May)
Location: Moody Center, on UT campus
This position will remain open until December 31, 2024
Responsibilities:
Work alongside the Building Engineering team in the following areas: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, General maintenance
Learn the how establish a preventive maintenance program
Learn how to create cost analysis
Learn how to use 24/7 Workorder system
Be integrated into the planning of Special Projects
Ability to manipulate small tools and equipment
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Frequent bending, lifting 50 -75 pounds, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building, exposure to loud noises, and standing for long periods of time
Be comfortable in close quarters and small spaces
Qualifications:

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
