Role Overview and Responsibilities:
The IT Service Delivery Engineer is responsible for the on-going operation of IT service delivery in Perry, Ohio and as part of a global virtual team providing remote assistance to TT Electronics sites around the world.
Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for IT issues. Take ownership of IT issues and follow them through to completion.
Work within a virtual team to provide support to staff around the globe.
Support local systems such as servers, storage, telecoms, and networking.
Responsible for ensuring adequate backups are completed and tapes stored securely as per policy.
Monitor the availability of global systems through existing portals and log/resolve/escalate issues.
Provide technical assistance and training to computer users on application software, hardware, and computer services.
Responsible for IT hardware and software inventory.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
Core Requirements
3 years experience in IT support and direct problem resolution roles.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems to Windows 11 client and Windows Server 2019.
Knowledge of Office 365 and its applications.
Knowledge of server and storage technologies.
Knowledge of VOIP and PBX systems.
Strong attention to detail, time management and communication skills.
Desireable Skills and Experience
Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and process execution.
Knowledge of Nutanix.
Knowledge of Backup Exec and/or HYCU.
