Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
One year of experience in a outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting
Background and knowledge in medical terminology
Ability to clearly communicate and understand English
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Current BLS required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years of experience in a clinical setting
Associate's degree in a related field
Medical Assistant certification
Working knowledge of state-supported programs specific to rural health clinics
English-Spanish bilingual fluency
