They are looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with a strong background in CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Kubernetes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled individual with a passion for deploying cloud-based IT infrastructure and automating CI/CD processes, particularly in a regulated environment. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient infrastructure solutions while ensuring high levels of security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, including GitLab Runners and GitLab CI, to automate deployment workflows.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to containerise applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
Deploy and manage AWS infrastructure, utilising services such as EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECR, and more.
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring reusable and scalable environments.
Establish and manage monitoring and alerting systems using AWS Managed Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to track the performance and health of applications and infrastructure.
Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards through services like AWS WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, Inspector, and AWS Secrets Manager.
Automate infrastructure deployment, management, and updates using tools like Argo CD and Helm.
Work closely with various stakeholders to optimise CI/CD pipelines and streamline development operations.
Key Skills and Experience:

Experience as an AWS DevOps Engineer or similar role.
Extensive experience with GitLab, including GitLab CI and GitLab Runners, for automating deployment processes.
Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for managing, scaling, and deploying applications.
Solid hands-on experience with AWS, including services such as IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, ECR, and API Gateway.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience using Terraform for automating and managing AWS resources.
Familiarity with AWS monitoring and security services, such as AWS Managed Prometheus, AWS Managed Grafana, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Inspector, WAF, and AWS Secrets Manager.
Experience using Argo CD, Helm, and Cactus to manage infrastructure automation.
Previous experience in the financial services sector or other regulated industries is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
A continuous learner, always looking to stay up-to-date with the latest cloud and DevOps technologies.
