We are hiring Apprentice Digital Portfolio Managers.

You'll earn as you learn during our 2-year apprenticeship, gaining a level 4 Apprenticeship in Project Management. You will have a passion for complex problem solving and understand the importance of planning and forecasting.

You will join us on permanent basis, accessing funded learning to support progress in your role and career. You'll receive formal learning, and loads of support to develop crucial skills in a secure and empowering environment.

You'll get 20% of your working time to complete a Level 4 qualification in Project Management.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

Have an awareness of the importance of planning, forecasting and the different ways to develop a plan
Experience of analysing information and making recommendations
A good knowledge of producing reports, communicating in a straightforward, authentic, and engaging way, utilising appropriate styles to maximise understanding and impact
Experience of building relationships and managing stakeholders.

Am I eligible for this apprenticeship?

You are required to hold the following minimum eligibility criteria:

Have the right to live and work in the UK.
Hold a valid passport/birthday certificate or residence permit.
Must have lived in the UK and/or EEA for 3 years prior to apprenticeship start date or hold refugee status.
Not be in full-time education or be undertaking another apprenticeship by the apprenticeship start date.
You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
You must hold GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or equivalent or be willing to undertake and pass a functional skills assessment.

A digital portfolio manager co-ordinates and manages a group, or 'portfolio', of digital projects. It's a really in-demand role.

You'll learn what it takes, working in different Portfolio Management roles during your 2-year study, building your knowledge of our large-scale organisation and getting involved in real work, projects and solutions which will be used by millions of people.

You'll become a confident communicator, providing analysis and updates within your portfolio to a range of stakeholders.

And you'll learn how to manage a busy and complex schedule, tracking projects and staying across key issues.

We're one of the most supportive learning organisations in government, and we have a 100% success rate in apprenticeship completion.

As part of the wider DWP Digital Delivery Practise, you will be part of a vast network of colleagues in similar roles that can help you succeed.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield, whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £43,347.

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £12,557 per year.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
