The Role

In this role you will be responsible for leading on business readiness and implementation for all technology and business improvement related change within the organisation. Key to this will be the ability to deliver at pace to a diverse workforce and its partners. Stakeholder management will be a significant part of your role and you will act as a liaison between different teams and business areas including third parties to ensure successful delivery of change.

You will be able to articulate a clear vision of change to all stakeholder communities, share business strategy and engage colleagues to adopt and embed change which improves business efficiency and drives excellence and innovation in our industry. At any one time you will have multiple streams of work in progress across the change lifecycle and you will be responsible for matrix management of resource and co-ordinating end to end delivery. The role will also require you to work within a governance framework and manage against a clear set of delivery priorities which may at times conflict, therefore you will have the ability to work in an agile manner and be a clear and excellent communicator. Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously is paramount in this role.

As well as change you will also own the Project Office, ensuring all change is well governed and lessons learned lead to future delivery improvement, and lead on our Risk and Opportunity programme working with and reporting regularly to the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage all business change from inception through all stages of the delivery lifecycle

* Work closely with the business leads/champions to ensure delivery is aligned to business goals & outcomes

* Fully support and advocate Agile ways of working

* Ensure project deliverables meet business objectives and performance levels

* Be an ambassador for change delivery excellence which assures quality and ensures adoption.

* Feed into Performance & Improvement team planning including resource and financial requirements

* Manage P&I PMO function and be responsible for tracking of programme budget and spend

* Manage the Risk and Opportunity portfolio.

Key Targets / KPI’s

* Business Change plan in place, stakeholders approved and regularly communicated

* Business Readiness undertaken for all change & improvement and adoption occurs within defined timeframes as agreed with Sponsor.

* Risks & Opportunity matrix in place, regularly used and communicated to SLT and impacted stakeholders.

* Engage stakeholders across group to deliver high quality change management and respond to feedback as appropriate.

* Proactively champion and actively lead continuous improvement and innovation as part of BAU liaising with the wider team to proactively identify and implement improvement opportunities

* High quality change materials which ensure user adoption within agreed timescales.

Experience

Essential

Excellent inter-personal skills, to include:

* Strong written and verbal communication to all levels of an organisation

* Effective decision making, confident to articulate reasoning

* Influencing skills (e.g. stakeholder management, negotiation skills, assertiveness)

* Strong BA skills, ability to use frameworks and prioritise

* Experience of managing multiple projects/programmes of work to successful delivery

* Familiar with digital technology and the impact on business processes

Desirable

* Experience of using agile ways of working, tools and techniques

* Confident with the interrogation of data & MI to support recommendations/decision

* Utility Industry experience (esp. Gas)

Critical Dependencies

* Effective Delivery; Programme Planning; Customer: working with operational teams and leaders to ensure the successful delivery of change and improvement supported with excellent comms, training and support.

* Performance & Improvement – work across wider team ensuring all change lands well across the operation and data is used to inform readiness and adoption.

* liaison with the client to share innovation and change plans and showcase new solutions delivered to Trinity.

* Commercial – track and manage the budget associated with change delivery
