Senior Security and Azure Cloud Engineer
Location: Southampton / Remote
Salary: £65,000 – £74,000 + Bonus + Benefits
Note: This role requires regular travel across the UK, with occasional international trips.
Join a market-leading construction and manufacturing company as a Senior Security and Azure Cloud Engineer. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and secure cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. You’ll ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s systems, applying best practices in cybersecurity while leveraging Azure's powerful security features.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage Azure cloud services, including virtual networks, storage, and high-availability solutions.
* Security Implementation: Implement and maintain security controls for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments, using tools like Azure Security Centre, Sentinel, and Key Vault.
* Incident Response: Monitor and respond to security alerts, performing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and conduct risk assessments.
* Collaboration & Support: Work with development and IT teams to integrate security into DevOps processes.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest trends in cybersecurity and Azure cloud technologies.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Certifications like Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CSSP, CISSP, or CEH are advantageous.
* Proven experience in cybersecurity and cloud engineering, with deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
* Expertise in Azure networking, firewalls, and security tools (e.g., XDR, NDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM).
* Strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork skills, and proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
* Experience with containerization, Azure Data Lake, IoT Hub, and API tools is a bonus.
