Our client in the education sector is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with superb leadership skills to join their large team on a permanent, full time basis.
As Payroll Manager, you will report into the Director of HR and oversee a team of ten in total, with support of 2 payroll supervisors.
Responsibilities include:
Day to day management of the payroll team ensuring accurate and timely processing of 2x inhouse payrolls on a monthly basis
Identify, recommend and implement measures of continuous improvement
Carry out recruitment, induction, training, development and appraisals
Be the University's payroll Subject Matter Expert in the operation of the payroll service
Carry out accurate and timely reporting to HMRC specifically the statutory monthly Full Payment and Employer Payment returns in accordance with legislation for Real Time Information submissions.
Experience required:
Excellent people management & leadership skills
Experience of managing, motivating and developing staff
Exemplary UK payroll knowledge
Sound knowledge of occupational sickness, maternity and paternity schemes and their application.
Resourcelink experience is desirable
