Accounts Assistant - 11 Month Fixed Term Contract

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30-4:30

Location: Kings Norton, Birmingham

Benefits: 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), personal accident scheme, pension, free parking, family run business

If so, we are on the search for an Accounts Assistant for an 11month Fixed Term Contract to help an established and successful family run business who are celebrating their 45th anniversary this year.

This rewarding role is an excellent opportunity to process your account skills working in a busy fast paced office and supporting with tasks ranging from customer service to scheduling to invoicing.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliation of supplier statements
Dealing with supplier queries
Creating monthly supplier payment plans and processing weekly supplier payments
Reconciliation of company credit cards
Payment of employee expenses
Regularly review unallocated payments and reconcile.
Posting of subcontractor invoices
Reconciliation of subcontractor accounts
Assist with work needed for monthly accounts e.g. accruals and prepayments
Updating cashflow for actual movements

Person Specification:

Experience in an Accounts Assistant role including Credit Control
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Confident computer user, with experience on Excel and Sage
Ability to build lasting work relationships.
Ability to manage own workload.
