Here at Quest Employment we are seeking a large volume of Warehouse Operative for various positions in Lichfield area – working for Quest Employment is working for a company where people are our priority.

The Warehouse Operative will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physical tasks throughout the shift.

Working Hours:

Rotational Shifts 4 days on 4 days off (7am to 7pm)

Key Responsibilities:

* Order Picking: Accurately pick items from the warehouse shelves based on order specifications, ensuring correct quantities and product types are selected.

* Order Packing: Pack and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring items are securely and efficiently packaged to avoid damage during transit.

* Labelling: Label orders and shipments correctly, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached and easily visible.

Receiving and Stock Management:

* Receiving Goods: Unload and inspect incoming deliveries, checking them against purchase orders for accuracy and quality.

* Inventory Management: Organize and store received goods in the correct locations, updating inventory records as necessary.

* Stock Replenishment: Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking shelves and storage areas as needed, ensuring inventory is maintained at optimal levels.

* Cycle Counting: Participate in regular stock counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records, reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor.

General Warehouse Duties:

* Equipment Operation: Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, to move goods safely and efficiently.

* Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized, adhering to housekeeping standards and ensuring all work areas are free from hazards.

* Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting any safety concerns to management.

* Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other warehouse staff to meet daily targets and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

* Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred but not required.

* Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and move items, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

* Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately.

* Reliability: Punctual and dependable, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to meeting deadlines.

* Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
