As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding position where you can truly make a positive impact.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one and group support to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support classroom teachers in managing student behaviour.
Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning.
Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
Requirements:
Previous experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in a primary setting or in a similar role.
Strong understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support them.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
