Description

We are working with a Paper & Packaging Manufacturer who are looking for a Quality Manager to join their team based in Blackburn.

Responsibilities

Work as part of the Management team to take full ownership of quality control and assurance across all stages of the business.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
Lead Quality Projects and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to support continuous improvement for customer delivery and improve business KPIs
Develop and implement quality control procedures, testing and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Enhance Customer complaint and internal non-conformance investigations to identify root cause and appropriate corrective and preventative actions.
Maintain documentation and records related to quality control activities, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action plans.
Continuously work towards and ensure recertification of ISO 9001, FSC and any other quality certifications required by the Group.Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Quality strategy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications, Experience and skills

Proven experience in a quality management role within manufacturing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001
Strong root cause analysis skills (8D & 5Ys)
Strong IT & Document control skills.
Significant experience in a highvolume manufacturing environment, preferably paper manufacturing
Hands-on leadership style.Salary
