Salary: £12-13ph + Overtime Rates and Benefits

About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with learning disabilities? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly reputable children’s care provider, seeking Experienced Residential Support Workers to join their dedicated team in Wolverhampton.

In this role, you will provide essential care and support to children with learning disabilities, helping them develop life skills, manage their behaviours, and create positive, meaningful relationships. You’ll work closely with a team of professionals to ensure that the children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing day-to-day care and emotional support to children in a residential setting.

* Supporting children with learning disabilities to develop independence and social skills.

* Assisting with daily activities such as education, recreational activities, and personal care.

* Ensuring the physical, emotional, and social well-being of the children is at the heart of all decisions.

* Promoting positive behaviour through the implementation of individual care plans.

* Working collaboratively with other professionals (e.g., therapists, social workers) to meet each child's unique needs.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a residential setting with children or young people.

* Experience supporting children with learning disabilities is essential.

* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent is highly desirable.

* A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.

* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children.

* Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-ins.

* Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.
