Quality Auditor

Location: Bedford

Salary: £27,600 + shift premium £3,288.96

Shifts: Rotating Shifts - 4 on, 4 off (6am to 6pm & 6pm to 6am)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Our Bedford-based client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Auditor to ensure the highest standards of product safety and quality across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for food safety and compliance, looking to advance their career in a fast-paced, high-quality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct daily factory walks to ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards.
Verify product manufacturing aligns with critical control points and the QMS.
Perform internal audits, staff training, and document verification.
Collaborate with the hygiene team on food-safe cleaning practices.
Manage swabbing, chemical, microbiological, and nutritional testing.
Conduct product testing, traceability, and investigate non-conformances.
Oversee metal detection processes and maintain HACCP/CCP compliance.
Ensure Certificates of Analysis are sent on time.
Conduct site audits and report findings to senior management.
Handle daily tasks like equipment calibration and sample collection.
Assist with audits and compliance to BRC, ISO, and retailer standards.
Cover for Quality Controllers and support raw material intake.
Monitor external warehouses and assist in retail customer audits.
Requirements:

Experience in food manufacturing.
Level 2/3 HACCP and internal auditing certification.
Knowledge of BRC, ISO, and retailer standards (preferred).
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and computer literacy.
