Astute's Nuclear team is partnering with a company who are leaders in lifecycle construction and operations for the Utilities and Infrastructure sectors and are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to work on site at Hinkley Point C Nuclear Station in Bridgwater.
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, managing documentation, and guiding teams and suppliers to maintain high-quality performance.

Responsibilities and duties
As a Senior Quality Engineer you will:
Provide training and support on quality processes and nuclear safety to project teams and suppliers.
Manage and update legacy quality paperwork for assigned projects.
Lead weekly meetings with clients to report on quality progress.
Oversee the review and updating of quality documents to meet requirements.
Conduct weekly inspections and follow up on quality documentation.
Monitor non-conformance reports, field changes, and requests for information.
Review quality reports before submission.
Provide guidance on inspection and test plans and manage quality control documents.
Handle non-conformances and manage quality installation records.
Review test results and certificates for compliance.
Act as the main point of contact for quality matters with stakeholders.
Ensure proper documentation, including as-built drawings.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
Degree in engineering or a related discipline.
Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in a Quality Engineer role in construction or heavy industry.
Familiarity with Fieldview software.
Salary and benefits of the Senior Quality Engineer role
Salary up to £55,000 DOE
25 days holiday plus BH, rising to 28 days with length of service
Up to 20% combined pension contribution
Opportunity to buy up to ten days' holiday and sell up to five every year
Performance related bonus of around 5%
