My client, a leading main contractor providing commercial fit-out, refurbishment and restoration works across London and the South of England, is looking for an experienced Estimator to join them on a permanent basis. The role offers access to exciting and innovative builds across a variety of sectors and a large scope for career progression. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, comfortable in client facing roles. and have comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with clients and architects during tender stage to provide detailed cost plans, schedules and programmes for agreement of contract sum
- Involvement in negotiating, procurement and subcontract selection in conjunction with management team
- Provide financial and programme updates throughout the project including costing and reporting
- Prepare monthly valuations
- Quality Control
- Liaise with clients, designers and site teams and attend site meetings throughout the project as needed
- Assist clients with materials and product selections while ensuring material requirements are met
- Application of and adherence to CDM regulations and Company Health & Safety policies
Requirements:
- A degree or equivelent in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
- IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Excellent communication skills with commercial accumen
