Inclusion Support Worker (SEMH) – Huddersfield

We’re looking for a dedicated and caring Inclusion Support Worker to join a specialist SEMH school in Huddersfield. This is a permanent position, and we’re looking for someone to start as soon as possible!

Position: Inclusion Support Worker
Location: Huddersfield
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £21,000 - £23,000

About the Role:

As an Inclusion Support Worker, you’ll be working closely with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them navigate school life and achieve their potential. You’ll support them in the classroom, during break times, and around the school, ensuring they feel safe, included, and supported at all times.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s compassionate, patient, and wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

* Providing one-to-one or small group support for students with SEMH needs

* Assisting in managing challenging behaviour in a positive and supportive way

* Working closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe and inclusive learning environment

* Helping students build confidence, emotional resilience, and social skills

* Supporting students in their day-to-day school activities, both in and out of the classroom

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or additional needs

* A caring, empathetic, and resilient attitude

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
