Position: Computer Science Teacher

Start Date: Term 3, January 2025

Contract: Fixed-term (rest of the academic year)

Location: Nr Weybridge, Surrey

Salary: £169.62 - £258.83 (depending on experience)

Anzuk education is working exclusively with a highly performing comprehensive school based in Weybridge, Surrey. The school is part of a large successful multi-academy trust. The school was last rated by Ofsted as a ‘GOOD’ school, working towards 'OUTSTANDING'. The school has recently undergone an extensive renovation and boasts fantastic, new, modern facilities.

The Computer Science Teacher Role:

The school is seeking a qualified teacher of Computer Science to join its well-resourced, friendly and supportive department. The successful candidate will teach Computer Science across various key stages and inspire students to develop their technical and problem solving skills, preparing the for the digital age.
This role is full time, fixed term contract, starting in term 3 (January) with the potential of a permanent role for the right applicant.

Key Responsibilities of Computer Science Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging, challenging Computer Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach a range of topics including programming, algorithms, data structures and cybersecurity etc
Inspire students to explore technology and develop skills, creativity and logical thinking
Monitor and assess student progress
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration and innovation
Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour
Contribute to the development of the Computer Science curriculum and collaborate with the department on school wide digital initiatives Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised equivalent certification for UK teaching
Experience of teaching Computer Science at secondary school level (KS3, KS4 and KS5 would be advantageous)
Strong subject and UK curriculum knowledge and experience
Proficiency in programming languages and knowledge of software and hardware relevant to the curriculum
Full references for the last 2 years
Full employment history checks required
Valid UK DBS and overseas checks if required
