Credit Controller Responsibilities:

* Handle incoming invoice queries, quickly providing resolutions or diverting them to the correct department

* Manage outstanding debts by contacting customers to request payments and set up payment plans

* Monitor debts and update accounts that have been placed on stop

* Issue debt collection procedures when payment hasn't been successfully collected

* Maintain the ledger by allocating incoming payments

* Create customer accounts and perform credit checks

* Reconcile banks, credit card, and fuel card statements

* Raise credit notes and invoices

* Post the cashbook

* Manage petty cash

* Undertake all accounts administration duties, which include entering data into the system and scanning and archiving documents

Credit Controller Skills and Experience:

* Experience gained in a similar role, either in an Accounts Assistant, Credit Control or a Sales Ledger role

* A proven track record of taking responsibility for credit control duties and confidence dealing with debt-collecting

* Strong IT skills with particular knowledge and experience in SAP, Proactis, Excel

* Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to successfully prioritise

* Superb communication skills, able to articulate well and communicate clearly

* Commercially aware and proactive, with a can-do attitude and a sense of fun
