Data Analytst (Credit Risk)
We are seeking a skilled and driven Data Analyst (Credit Risk_ for a strategic project in the domain of residential mortgages. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working within credit risk processes and systems to ensure continuity from both modelling and reporting perspectives. The role involves leveraging data analytics to assess and mitigate risks while contributing to the ongoing success of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze data and develop physical models throughout the data pipeline, from ingestion to data warehouse mapping and creating data marts.
- Maintain and manage applications in a data lake environment using Oracle Exadata, adhering to performance standards.
- Assess the impact of changes in the data environment on risk calculations, including capital and provisions.
- Ensure data compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with large databases in the financial services industry, preferably related to credit risk.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques in a complex data landscape.
- Advanced knowledge of BI tools such as SAS and SQL, including Scripting, automation, and reconciliation between datasets.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical user stories for developers.
- Proficient in optimizing scripts for performance improvements and maintaining clear, readable code with proper documentation.
- Knowledge of Credit Risk concepts (eg, Risk Weighted Assets, Expected Loss, Definition of Default) is a plus.
